TOUS heads to Singapore to attend the TFWA fair
Did you know that the Barcelona-El Prat airport closed 2017 with a historic passenger record? Nothing more and nothing less than 47.2 million people went through the installation. And it is that in an airport there are constant comings and goings of many people who are waiting for their flight.
Undoubtedly, these are strategic places for brands and their products, in fact, travel retail is becoming increasingly important. TOUS is aware of this and has integrated this sector in its business development: currently the company has international spaces in places such as Saudi Arabia, China, Spain, the United States, Indonesia, Italy, Mexico and Poland.
Therefore, the firm could not miss the appointment of the year: the TFWA fair, which was held from 6TH to 10TH May in Singapore. It is an event that brings together the main brands with presence in the travel retail channel around the world. The participation of the firm in this event is part of the TOUS Travel Retail strategy for 2018.
TOUS has set course for the Asian city to exhibit its products aimed at luxury tourism and present a new exhibition format for airports, the main distribution channel of this sector. This is the biggest novelty of the firm in terms of travel retail: a Pop Up Store, where you can buy TOUS jewelry and accessories, a distribution model similar to the current one but smaller in size.
In addition, beyond airports, TOUS also has a presence in duty free centers of the main destinations for luxury tourism. Although in Europe this practice is still being implemented, in Asia it is already a channel with a very advanced degree of maturity.
Thus, TOUS focuses on APAC (Asia Pacific) and EMEA (Europe, the Middle East and Africa), key markets for the company in 2018, to further strengthen its commitment to internationalization.
