TOUS, the firm dedicated to the jewelry business since 1920, is forging ahead in its growth and has created the position of Chief of Merchandising, who will report directly to the CEO and form part of COMEX.
The new role will be filled by Jonathan Delfino. This executive joins TOUS with a track record of more than 20 years in the jewelry and retail sectors at such leading firms as Swarovski, Pandora, HVISK and Hearts on Fire, where he specialized in the planning, procurement and distribution processes from an omnichannel angle.
His extensive experience has enabled him to build up a cross-cutting, international profile as he has worked with multidisciplinary teams both in Europe and the United States. Specifically, he gained all of his qualifications in the US where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and an MBA at Bryant University, at Harvard University he took the Leadership Development Program on its Executive Education Program, and at The Wharton School he studied the course, Leading Customer-Centric Growth.
Delfino’s mission is to continue driving the growth of the business and maximizing sales. The executive will work along these lines with a cross-cutting vision and devise new decision-making processes based on data analysis.
This decision falls within the framework of the firm’s transformation strategy that it is rolling out across the board to bolster the organization’s competitiveness and growth. To this regard, the executive said that “I’m thrilled to join TOUS at such an interesting time for the firm”. He also added, “The transformation process that is being implemented and the company’s strengths have brought about the perfect momentum to continue driving growth and secure sales that are already on an upward trend. I can see huge potential in TOUS, as it has a very strong concept and trademark. I am certain that very ambitious goals can be reached.”
In turn, Carlos Soler-Duffo, TOUS’ CEO, went on to say, “Recruiting Jonathan Delfino and his joining COMEX is key to continue making progress in our transformation, in which talent is an essential ingredient.” He also said that “having made a fast recovery following the pandemic has enabled us to drive many initiatives forward that are being widely accepted. We must now ensure that we develop our full potential for a solid stage of growth.”
